Whether waste wood can become suitable wood flour depends on its source, contamination and intended use. Painted, preserved or otherwise treated wood should not automatically be treated as clean feedstock.
Sort the material before choosing the process
Identify the wood type, dimensions, moisture and foreign material. Configure chipping, crushing and drying where required, followed by fine milling, classification and collection. Sawdust that already meets the mill’s feed requirements may not need the same preparation stages as logs.
Agree the finished powder specification
WPC, incense and other applications have different requirements for particle size, moisture and cleanliness. Confirm acceptance criteria and test representative material before selecting equipment or promising output. Assess recovery costs across sorting, power use, wear and collection, rather than assuming that every waste stream has the same value.
