A mechanical zinc powder process starts with feedstock assessment and a finished powder specification. Zinc granules, chips and zinc-bearing residues can have different compositions and processing behaviour.
Identify the zinc feedstock
Provide composition, zinc content, feed size, oil, moisture and impurities. The names “zinc slag” and “zinc ash” do not by themselves establish suitability. Assess and test unfamiliar residues; this equipment is not a universal mill for ores or mineral materials.
Select by fineness and hourly capacity
For TYJSMF500, use the model range of 20–325 mesh and 50–500 kg/h, then establish the operating point for the actual feedstock. Confirm purity, particle shape and collection requirements as well as particle size.
Compare processes on a common basis
Compare output, power use, wear, preparation and collection costs against the same powder specification. Without comparable operating data, energy savings or the elimination of environmental impacts cannot be promised.
