Metal Powder Grinding Mills are currently the preferred equipment for grinding various types of metal scraps. Through improvements to the internal grinding structure and upgrades to the materials used, the scope of application for these machines has been effectively expanded. The primary materials processed include: zinc, copper, and aluminum; raw and annealed iron shavings; aluminum foil; metal foil, metal alloys, stainless steel shavings, and more.
The Metal Powder Grinding Mill is specialized equipment designed to process raw iron chips into iron powder. The Metal Powder Grinding Mills manufactured by our company use mechanical methods to directly grind granular, chip-like, or flake-like metal materials into fine powder. This equipment utilizes multiple grinding principles—including high-impact energy, vortex effects, and shear grinding—to process the material. A screen is installed inside the machine to control the yield and particle size of the final product. An external high-pressure blower promotes rapid material flow and reduces temperature rise. The off-machine classification method ensures convenient and precise particle size control. It is suitable for the ultrafine processing of zinc powder and copper powder, as well as the coarse processing of aluminum powder and magnesium powder.
How a Metal Powder Grinding Mill Works:
Granular or flake-shaped metal feedstock is placed into the storage hopper and fed at a constant rate into the main crushing chamber of the machine via the electromagnetic vibrating feeder through the feed inlet. Inside the main unit’s grinding chamber, the metal feedstock is crushed by the impact and shearing forces of the high-speed rotating rotor. Once the material reaches the desired particle size, it is drawn through the screen inside the main unit by an external high-pressure blower into the conveying pipeline, then enters the cyclone separator, while larger particles remain in the grinding chamber for further processing. Inside the cyclone separator, the fine solid metal powder is separated and discharged through the airlock at the bottom of the separator. The separated gas is discharged by the blower into a simple baghouse dust collector, purified, and then released into the atmosphere. The material discharged through the airtight discharge valve consists of particles of mixed sizes and falls directly onto a vibrating screen for sorting. The finished product is collected, while the coarse powder is returned to the main unit for further grinding.
